Locally reared free range pork
Free range rare breed and rarebreed cross pigs
These rare breed and rarebreed cross, free range pigs produce the tastiest, healthiest pork, bacon and sausages.
They all live a healthy, happy life, able to wander around and do what comes naturally to pigs, root and dig outside in the fresh air. They lead as natural life as possible and are free to come and go as they please.
Anybody who cares where their meat comes from should actively seek out and support small scale traditional producers. Find a local free range producer and give them your support. This ensures 100% traceability, something the supermarkets can only dream about. Free range is the only humane way to keep animals, particularly in the case of pigs which are perhaps the most intelligent and charming of farm animals.

KNOW YOUR FARMER, KNOW YOUR FOOD
Why 'Hellfire' pigs?
Well, these pigs have a very exclusive residence at the foot of Montpelier Hill in South Dublin. Perched on the top of Montpelier Hill is an old hunting lodge, built by William Connolly, Speaker of the Irish House of Commons about 1725. The lodge is known around Dublin as the 'Hellfire Club' due to the belief the the 'actual' Hellfire Club met in the building on occasion.
Prior to purchase of your whole or half pig, you can come visit it/them (and me) to see where your pork comes from. To do this you will need to use the 'Visit my pig' option on the store page which is 30 euro. This will be taken off the final price of your pork purchase. However, it is not refundable if you don't purchase a half or full pig.
